I think you should die your hair blond. Not only do I think it would look better, but it has been proven dying your hair lighter as apposed to darker is supposed to be better in the long run, just a few words of advice. I hope this helps.

either one would be ok, You don't want to go platinum blonde with Tan skin, it will make your skin look really dark dried out. I say go for a honey blonde or a light golden brown. Or if you really want a more dramatic look that will make your eyes stand out, go for a medium to dark brown!

If you dye, you add color, or go darker. If you lighten, you remove color and add tone. Your coloring sounds like you're one of the lucky ones who can go blonde without fear of turning any of the nasty shades of orange or gold to get there. I'd recommend lighter...unless you swim in chlorinated pools a lot. Your hair can turn green from a reaction between your coloring agent and the pool chemicals. I'd suggest darker in that event.
