Lightening hair is permanent. Only go blond if you're willing to keep it up. It grows out fast. I'd recommend getting highlights first to see if you like it. You can add more highlights gradually and it'll look more natural.

I don't think so...Bleach is super hard on hair, and your roots growing in will just be too noticeable. If you want to add dimension, try some lowlights.
