i had tried to dye my hair blond from a dirty blond but the dye mad it kind of reddish, not a whole lot but just a little, and i want to make it bright bright blond, will this work? also if you can, i'm me on yahoo or email me about this.

Your answer is NO! Do not use peroxide. Trust me... I know this from experience. It turned my hair orange... If you would like some advice, try using Revlon... The highlights are your best bet! I know this because my hair was hard to turn blone, because I have brown hair naturally.

hrm...yeah, it might...but it also could make your hair fall out...not good...i suggest getting an acutal bleach product, like a frosting kit or Manic Panic bleach...it takes the color out of your hair, then if you want to you can put a new color over it...or just get a really platinum dye, that should work too

Peroxide will make your hair very dry and it will break easily. If you have your hair professionally colored they will be able to make it as blonde as you like. However, if you dont want to spend a ton of money, get a blond highligting kit. Instead of using the cap that comes with it, I just put the mixture in my hair like regular hair color. You dont have to leave it in very long and you will be able to see the results as the color is changing. After you have done this once, you wont have to do it again for a while. I just use regular hair color when it starts to fade or I get roots and it usually takes pretty well.

you need to get the whole color changed now...i would go to sallys beauty supply you can buy something to tone down the red in the hair use that and see what happens what color it brings you to then you should get a full foil highlights done on your hair that will really bring you to a nice blond color in a natural way ask for thin weaved highlights and not chunky ones... that should look so pretty after its done..the toner is in little tubes that are cheap to tone down the red its worth a try just to see if you look better after that before you go the route of bleaching ur hair again...you need to use 30 percent bleach plus the power one scoop powder enough bleach liquid creme stuff to make it a nice smooth texture

I used to work in a salon. I once had a lady insist on me using pure peroxide on her hair. She had black hair, and decided she wanted to be a blonde. She insisted that she knew what she was doing, and would be happy with the results. I used the peroxide.. she looked like a zebra afterwards. In addition, it will make your hair look and feel like very dry hay. Peroxide is strictly for mixing, in VERY concentrated measures, with the actual hair dye, and NOT for actually coloring your hair. I reccomend gradually lightening it. Start just one shade lighter than your current color, then after a month, use the next lightest shade, and so on. In between colors, use a deep conditioning treatment like Cholesterol Plus once a week.

when you try to dye your hair blonde with a bleach/peroxide the hair will go though stages and one of the first stages is the hair going red .(if your hair has an under lying red tone).

many people worry at this stage and wash the bleach/peroxide off but this has to happen for it to be able to get any light.

the peroxide strips the colour out of your hair eventally making it colourless thats why when people have bleach blonde hair it can look in bad condiction.

my best advice for you would be to go to a shop and buy a lighter blonde colour which has a lower % peroxide but it contains colour so it is much kinder to your hair, rather than mucking about with peroxide and trying to get the tone right.
