Help with multicoloured blond hair?!?

I've dyed my hair blond lots of times throughout the years and now it's lots of different colours - not a good look.

THe top 2 inches, including the roots are light brown (my natural colour). The next 3 inches are dark blond and the lower 4 inches light blond. I'd like it all to be the same light blond colour as the bottom.

I have the same light blond dye as I originally used for this lower section, but should I only apply it to the hair higher up to keep bottom the same colour?

Or should I apply it to all my hair as normal?

Help!

best thing would be to go to a salon but if you're going to do it yourself only dye the roots first then 10 mins after that the 3 inches and for the last 5 mins of the dye being on comb the dye through to the ends...

I think your best bet is to dye your hair a darker shade of blond to get it all the same colour. When you dye it get two bottles to make sure you completely cover the whole of your hair. After six weeks go for a lighter shade closer to your preference.

Apply it to all yuur hair as normal, because, although yuu may think they're the same colour, the colour on yuur hair already (the bottom) may have faded, or be slightly different.

Also, it'll be easier, and yuu're guaranteed to end up with awesome hair =]

Good luck xx

Your best option is to apply to the medium or middle 1st, then 2 the root portion (not directly on the scalp[basically following the directions]). The scalp area will process quicker because of the heat the scalp produces. Still apply it 2 the lightest area for like the last 5min of the process for blending purposes only.

only apply the colour to the mid lenghths first then to the roots for the last 20 mins dont apply it to the ends then you will get it all the same as the ends.If you cant get to do it yourself get a friend to do it for you.Or seek a prof hairdresser. That might be your best result. Good luck happy dyeing. XX

dont put it on your ends at all-they will only get lighter. put on your roots first-longer than anywhere else. then apply to your mid-strands. dont put on ends. the reason for this is....when going blonde-the closer to your head the better the color will turn out because of the heat from your head. the longer you wait to touch up your roots the farther away from your head the darker the color will be. as far as your ends....the more color you put on them the lighter and lighter they will get. if your ends are that light and it looks that horrible. get a shade darker-but dont leave it on long because it will probably soak up the color fast. i would say maybe 5 minutes tops.
