Definitelt dont dye it completely just get it higlighted. If you dye it completely within 2 weeks your roots will start showing... trust me, i made the mistake of doing it... and definitely dont do it yourself go to a place.

Just once. It can not take more than one try, because you will ruin your hair if you try more than once!

Go to a pro, or buy a box at the drug store and follow the instructions EXACTLY. Be satisfied with what you get, and DON'T bleach your hair a second time.

First of all if you try to do it like that your gonna end up burning your hair your best bet is to do it professionally..when your going from a dark shade to a lighter shade your not really adding color...your technically taking color OUT of your hair....if you go somewhere like sallys beauty supply they will tell you what kind of color to get, as in what color tones, so as not to turn your hair a funky color....dont use a metallic dye!!!!!!!!! garnier nutrisse is a very notorious one..cuz if you do..and then dye it again you WILL burn your hair....

I would *strongly* discourage you from trying to do this yourself! Go to a GOOD salon and ask for their best color tech --- talk to this person and get his/her opinion.

Stripping color from hair is very hard on it --- be careful and have it done *right*.

but- if you have super dark brown hair times 10, maybe you should try brown or light brown

if you do dye it blond, try a dirty blond

Since ur hair is so dark, you would have to go to a salon to at least start if off with such a drastic change. They would need to strip your hair color off. That will depend how long they will need to leave the chemicals on your hair and it will take as long as a day sometimes if your hair was dyed previously. Either way its the most harshest part of the process. it thins the hair being more suseptible to breakage and frying. If your hair is this dark, it most likely wont look good. SOrry, but I would rather tell you this then you ruin your pretty hair. If you really want a change try highlights instead, that way your whole head wont get fried. Plus, Dark roots dont look when they show on blonde hair, but Dark hair is very beautiful, you should keep it!! ...... GOod Luck though
