How to dye brown hair blond??

I'm a licensed hair stylist. do not, I repeat DO NOT use sun in. If she colored her hair brown, sun in will turn it a very ugly orange. Clairol highlights are a good product, and I would even reccommend Kaleidacolors if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply near you. The ability to strip that brown hair color to turn the hair blonde is going to be very tricky and will depend on the natural color that you started with. Most people at beauty supply stores aren't licensed professionals and only know basics, so be careful in what they tell you. Depending on how dark the brown is now, and how light you want the blonde to be, you will have to go to a higher developer. Since you will be double-processing the hair, you will run into the complication of damaging the hair (frying it) so personally, I would suggest a professional. But if not, then be very careful. If the hair starts getting fried in the middle of the process, the only options that you have are to either stop the process and leave it the ugly orange color or let it keep processing and just break off. Either way, if you arent careful, you will regret messing with it.

Well I have been dyng hair for awhile and the easiest and most cost effective way is to get clariol highlightener and developer. They are at your local beaty supply store. The developer comes as a liquid and the lightner comes is a small packet ( dry chemical ). you must mix them together and then apply to the hair. The develpoer comes in different strengthes (10,20,30,40) so ask which is the best to use! good luck
