I want to bleach my dark brown hair to blond. I am getting it professionally done...not an at-home job. Will it take more than one visit to the stylist?

No, my hair is almost black and it can reach a good shade of blond with one bleach treatment. But have you colored your hair before? They asked me that question, but mine was all regrowth, either way, if you are going to a good salon and having a prof. do it you should not have a problem. Just lots of upkeep with the roots growing out.

I don't think so, if they do it right.
I have done home jobs (not the best idea lol), but I was able to get my hair from (dyed) black to a pretty good blonde shade using a streaking kit as opposed to blonde dye.

no it shouldnt i have super dark brown almost black hair...and a few years back i got it like compleatly blonde(guess she didnt understand a few streaks) but it took about an hour and a half

it will depend on which products your stylist uses...no matter what they use it will be in your best interest to get a conditioning treatment after your color service and use a really good moisturizing color care shampoo and conditioner at home(Matrix Color.Smart or Paul Mitchael Color Care)...it shouldn't take more then one visit to the salon....if you live in NJ email me at babyprncss24@yahoo.com and I'd be glad to help you find a good salon if your not in my area
