I have color and highlights on my hair should I dye my hair blond?

My natural hair color is dark brown and I have dyed it and hightlighted it 7 months ago and now the color starts to be a little dull plus the roots are coming out dark. Should I color it in one color overall like Blond? Which one is good looking highlight or one color overall? I have dark brown eyes and med-skin almost pale.

NOO! blonde's awful, I hate it, don't do it blonde, well.. that's my advice. And my bf's too. He's here with me, hihi. Umm.. blonde's pale and.. eww!. Do it honey chestnut light brown (with a little bit reddish, like brown natural red) over all, or well.. with some faint light highlights.

I think you should give your hair a breather and dye it one solid color and go back to your brown.

Dye it black, its so much sexier!

you could try something new and bleach your hair blond then dye darker strands into your hair for lo-lights, it would give the blond a more natural look.

there are a few thing you should know about bleach before you try it though, just so you're prepared.

-because you already have color on your hair, just dying it blond will not work, you will have to bleach because color does not lift color.

-depending on the length and thickness of your hair, you may need 2 or 3 packets of bleach and at least 4.5oz. of 30 volume developer, you will mix it until it is about the consistency of pancake batter.

-when you bleach, you hair will go through color stages.

you will notice your hair start to turn very red, then orange, then yellow, then blond. Don't freak and wash it out when you start seeing colors!

-make sure you have a good moisturizing conditioner for afterwards, you hair will be very dried out, without moisture your hair will be very prone to breakage and split ends.

-your hair may have an orange tint after the process is complete, you could either use a violet shampoo to cancel out the orange or you could use a violet based toner with a 10 or 20 volume peroxide for more permanent results.

i hope this helps.

you may already know these things but, just to be safe, you know.
