I tried dying my hair blond, from black and it turned orange how do you get it to be blond or is there any way to get the orange out?

You have to go gradually when you do it yourself. You can't just put a bottle of blonde dye on black hair and expect it to turn blonde. It basically lightens your hair, but it can only lighten so many shades. You're best bet is going to be going to a professional and letting them bleach it then dye it the shade of blonde you want.

you may have to put bleach on top of that, but lightening hair is dangerous! you have to be careful before it falls out!

after you bleach it to the color you like, youll have to use a toner to get evenness!

You need to buy Bleach Blonding - I believe it is by Feria. It will show on the side of the box how light your hair will be.

You probably shouldn't do one right over the other, but I would just so I didn't have red hair. Otherwise you could color it dark again with a non-permanent color like medium brown and this will tint your hair a bit until you are able to lighten it again.

I know there are probably a lot of cosmetologists on here that will slap me for that answer, but it's just what I've done in personal experience. You gotta understand, they sell all those colors in the drugstore - we're gonna try and do it ourselves at some time....

a good thing to do is go to your salon and have a malibu. it takes about an hour total and is reletivly inexpensive. it should take most of the orange out, if not all of it

wow sorry to hear about your hair troubles..well i'm asuming that you bleached over your black hair...the only problem with this is that you cannot achieve this without removing the color...a home hair job isnt going to cut it..sorry to say..but you will have to go to your stylist..and if you dont have one do some research find a stylist that is suitable for your cost and needs but as well check there work...go in for a consultation...dont be afraid to ask if you can look at their portfolio of work..you decide if you trust them with your hair...also this is the main IMPORTANT thing...do not let them re-bleach your hair..ask them if they do a color removal or a color delete process...this is the only way to achieve what your trying to do...and sometimes it is a little hard because black is permanent...
