Proactiv Turns Hair Blond?

I use the acne control Proactiv, and have recently noticed that in all the spots where my hair is frequently around my face, are beginning to turn blond. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem, or knows what part of it causes the hair to turn blond. I'm thinking it's the toner, is toner known to turn hair blond? If so, does anyone know if it could be dangerous or harmful to my hair? I'm kind of liking the little blond streaks I'm getting everywhere, but I'm worried that it may end up like that permanently or something, or end up falling out somehow in the next like ten years.

I use Proactiv as well, but it doesn't do anything to my hair when they come in contact. While it's not harmful, it's best to keep it out of contact with the hair on your head. Benzoyl peroxide may also bleach clothing as well, so be more careful.

benzoyl peroxide is known to bleach. keep your proactiv away from fabrics and hair because it will bleach it.

yep i used pro activ, it turned the tips of my eyebrows blonde!

its cause it has benzol peroxide in it which may bleach your hair or ur pillow case or watever, its not dangerous. if u stopped using it ur hair would probably grow back to its normal colour. well thats wat happned to my eyebrows but my actual hair on my head didnt grow back to its normal colour.

Yes, it is the benzoyl peroxide. It won't make your hair fall out. My two teenage sons use this product and were actually happy about the bonus of subtle highlights in their hair. But then they noticed that it was also bleaching out spots around the neck areas of their favorite t-shirts. Bummer!

I also started noticing that our darker colored towels were getting bleached out spots. DOUBLE BUMMER!

It is most defiantly the benzoyl peroxide! I don't use pro-active but one that my doc recommended and their right on the bottle warning that it does bleach things i have had it bleach my bangs accidentally and my hail didn't fall out either!
