Why do so many people dye their hair blond? What makes it so attractive? (there are more blondes than redheads, so blond hair isn't that rare)

It stands out more in light...colors attract everything..even people..a blonde in a crowd stands out more then everyone else. That works for me...but I'm sure not for everyone.
